Question #10

As promised, here is your surprise Sunday afternoon question.  After this one, only three questions left!

For some reason this quote always makes me laugh.  Hoping I'm not offending any men out there, who, when challenged to name one single thing men have done right in the history of the world, replied:

"Okay, I’m game.  They tamed the Wild West.  Without men—big, ugly, lice-infested, gun-totin’, rotten toothed, foulmouthed, bigoted, brawling men complete with all their greed, gold mining, railroad technology and STDs, Hollywood would not be the multibillion dollar industry it is today and the world would be deprived of such cultural masterpieces as Dumb and Dumber."

Game Change

I've had so many entires that I thought it was only fair to add some prizes, for a total of six!

Grand prize:

A gift basket including all five Ladybug Farm books, ladybug note cards, a ladybug coffee mug, ladybug candy, decorative ladybug magnets, and more!

Second and third prize:

A ladybug mug filled with wine-flavored jellybeans

These prizes will be awarded by the number of correct answers to the trivia contest; in the case of a tie prizes will be awarded by random draw using random.org, a random-number generator.

THREE Fourth-place winners, determined by random draw, will received a signed copy of Vintage Ladybug Farm.

There are only a few days left to play, but you can go back and answer the questions any time through October 10.  Tell your friends!

Question #9

Here is one of my all-time favorites.  Who said:

"Motherhood isn’t something that just happens to you.  It’s a choice you make every day,to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is… and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong."

I'll be back Sunday afternoon for another installment.  Meanwhile, stand by for a photo of the prize you've been playing for.

Question # 8

Back again after a brief break (no, you didn't miss one; there was no question Wednesday Oct 3). I missed hearing from you, but we're back in the game now.

Here's today's question:

Discussing what love means, who says  that it’s “being willing to put someone else’s dreams ahead of your own, even when you don’t think those dreams are the best thing thing for him.”

And be sure to check back tomorrow for a photo of the gift basket you've all been playing for!

I would love to know how you are figuring out the answers to all these questions! Well, okay, yesterday's was easy.  Maybe this one will be a little more challenging.  Who said:

"You can't make a miracle.  Sometimes you just have to wait for it."

Remember you can enter at any time by e-mailing me or posting the answer in the comments section here.  I'm glad you're having as much fun with this as I am!

Question #6

Today VINTAGE LADYBUG FARM is finally available in print!  To celebrate, here is a semi-trick question, although I suspect even those of you who haven't had a chance to speed-read through the book will get this one.  Who said:

"Everybody knows an angelfood cake won't rise with the devil in the kitchen".

Your favorite character and mine...:)

And be sure to read my interview on Gathering Leaves about this and other upcoming books!

Ladybug Trivia Question # 5

So I've learned something interesting this week: my readers know more about Ladybug Farm than I do! This is going to be one close contest.

Keep in mind that you can go back at any time and answer the questions, and whether you e-mail your answer or post it as a comment here, you will be entered in the random draw and, if your answer is correct, you will be entered for the grand prize.

So here is today's question.  Who said:
"Gardens aren't the only things that can die from neglect."

There will be no questions over the weekend, but come back Monday for the launch of VINTAGE LADYBUG FARM, when the questions get much harder!
